Probation/Aftercare Services

The Community Services staff of the Department of Juvenile Services is equipped with the tools, experience, and passion needed to facilitate the transformation of our youth. Through the provision of support, accountability, and opportunities, the Community Services team collaborates not only with the youth but also with families and communities. The goal is to foster positive growth and development, creating a pathway to attainable goals and a brighter future.

Community Supervision is organized into five (5) regions, comprising 33 offices across the state of Maryland. Services are extended to our youth under court-ordered probation and aftercare programs, encompassing in-home and out-of-home committed treatment services. These services play a crucial role in contributing to the establishment of safe and stronger community ties for the youth and families we serve.
